You’ll find all the essentials at the charming Suffolk Park shops, just a short five-minute stroll or cycle from the house. The village is known for its friendly locals and sense of community. Grab a pastry or sandwich from the ever-popular Suffolk Bakery or ask Jimmy to make you one of his famous coffees and sit in the sun. Pizza Paradiso is also very popular with the locals for their Italian fare.

You will also find restaurants (including Vietnamese and Indian), a medical clinic and pharmacy, Spar supermarket, post office, bottle shop, and the Park Hotel (pub and restaurant). If you’re feeling energetic, you will also find the Mana fitness gym at Suffolk Park, one of the best personal and circuit gyms in the area.

Back at Kasa Byron, you can pass through your back garden gate and down a quiet, sandy, tree-lined track to emerge on Tallow Beach, with white sand stretching 6.5km from Cosy Corner below the Lighthouse to Broken Head. Take in the shimmering blue of the Pacific Ocean as you soak in the sun, go for a swim, or start your walk.
